Bei diesem Verfahren werden Stahl- oder Eisenerzeugnisse in ein Bad aus geschmolzenem Zink getaucht, wodurch sich eine Schutzschicht gegen Korrosion bildet. Allerdings vermischen sich Verunreinigungen und andere Materialien mit dem geschmolzenen Zink, was zur Bildung von Zinkkr\u00e4tze f\u00fchrt.
